Verstappen feared brakes were not working: "Was really worried about that"
Max Verstappen had a tense moment at the start of sprint qualifying at Silverstone. It took a while for the whole field to line up, and just before the lights went out his brakes got so hot that they burst into flames. He was able to pull away just in time to prevent the drama from ending. After the sprint race, Verstappen admits that he did worry for a while. "Yeah, I was really worried about that. A little bit of fire, it's okay, but it was becoming quite big and I was just looking at my mirror to the cars at the back and hoping they would speed up," he told the press conference which included Autosport.com.
