Perez aims to bounce back after race to forget

Sergio Perez is determined to put his Silverstone struggles behind him and ensure he heads into the summer break on a high. The British Grand Prix race weekend was one of the Mexican's poorest since he joined Red Bull at the end of the 2020 campaign. He spun in sprint qualifying, causing him to start from the pit lane, then failed to make his way up the order much on race day, finishing in P16. Perez finished that low as the team pitted him late to take the fastest lap point from Lewis Hamilton, but even before that he was only in and around the final place in the top 10.
