Bottas beats Hamilton as Mercedes shine in FP2 for Hungarian GP

Article To news overview © Mercedes Mercedes' Valtteri Bottas continued his strong Friday form by topping the timesheets during the second practice session for the Hungarian GP ahead of teammate Lewis Hamilton and Red Bull's Max Verstappen. Hamilton topped the early part of the session with a 1:18.140 on the medium tyres, which was half a second slower than the times set in FP1, however those times came down by close to a second as drivers switched to the softs. That's when Bottas set the fastest time of the session with a 1:17.012, 0.027 seconds up on his teammate.
