Bottas doesn't think one race will ‘influence anything'

Valtteri Bottas doesn't believe his Hungarian GP mistake, one that caused a multi-car crash, will influence Mercedes' 2022 driver decision. Bottas is up against George Russell for the second Mercedes race seat with Toto Wolff saying he'll make a decision over the course of the summer break. As such it was important for the two candidates to go into the summer break on a high note. Russell did just that at the Hungarian Grand Prix, scoring his first-ever points for Williams with a P8 finish; Bottas did anything but.
