Red Bull poach another Mercedes senior engineer
Article To news overview © Getty Images/Red Bull Contentpool Since the announcement of Red Bull Powertrains, Red Bull have signed multiple Mercedes engineers. RacingNews365.com has learned that Mercedes Chief Engineer, Owen Jones, is the latest recruitment to be joining Red Bull. Jones worked closely at Mercedes with Andy Cowell, who was responsible for the hugely impressive Mercedes V6 turbo-hybrid engines and decided to walk away from Formula 1 in 2020. The specific role Jones will have at Red Bull is yet to be confirmed. Mercedes said that Jones has been on a glide path to leave the team for some time.
