The point for the fastest lap of the day went to Nikita Mazepin. In the two laps that took place behind the safety car, Nikita Mazepin was the fastest driver. The Haas F1-driver did so in the second lap, but because the Grand Prix was red flagged the fastest time of the first lap should count. And that's when Max Verstappen comes into the picture. In the official FIA final results only the starting lap was included, so Mazepin would lose his fastest lap.
