Russell to Mercedes: 'I think this is the right thing to do'

Mercedes seems to be getting the news out soon that George Russell will be the new driver for the team next season. The Briton will have to collect points for the German team together with his fellow countryman Lewis Hamilton. Carlos Sainz thinks it is a good development. It has been rumoured for months that Russell is the successor to Valtteri Bottas. The Williams driver has been performing extremely well in his car this season, while the Finn just can't seem to compete with Hamilton. The switch of Russell therefore seems to be a matter of time.
