Bottas on pole for Italian GP sprint

Italian Grand Prix – Mercedes Valtteri Bottas has claimed pole ahead of the Sprint Qualifying session on Saturday. After just one hour of practice on Friday morning, the drivers took to the Monza circuit to deliver a qualifying lap ahead of the F1 sprint qualifying session on Saturday. Mercedes secured a front row for the sprint as teammate Lewis Hamilton set the second fastest time. Championship contender Max Verstappen will start in third for Red Bull.
