Video To news overview © fia While fans may not have been keen on the Halo cockpit protection system when it was first introduced in 2018, there's no doubt it's saved several drivers from serious injury since then. That latest example of that was seen in Sunday's Italian Grand Prix, as Max Verstappen's Red Bull car came into contact with Lewis Hamilton's crash helmet after the two collided on Lap 26 of the race at Monza. Toto Wolff was quick to praise the Halo following the race, stating that it saved the Briton's life, while noting that he didn't want to think about what would have happened had it not been in place.
