Stroll ‘delighted' with Vettel, ‘firm intention' to keep him

Lawrence Stroll says he's 'delighted' with how Sebastian Vettel is doing and wants the German to stay with Aston Martin for many years. Vettel has made a solid if unspectacular start to life with the British outfit, struggling at times but also finishing on the podium twice, although he was ultimately disqualified on the second occasion. Nevertheless, with the option to extend his contract by another year not yet activated by the team, speculation has started to swirl regarding his future there, with rumours that the team wanted to replace him with Fernando Alonso or Daniel Ricciardo going forward.
