Max Verstappen drove from 20th to second place in Russia, losing just seven points to Lewis Hamilton in the battle for the world title. The Dutchman was helped by the rain in the final laps, otherwise, he would probably only have finished seventh. Best cards for world title An engine change meant Verstappen had to start from the back of the grid in Sochi, but the Red Bull Racing driver was able to work his way up through the field.
