Mercedes cautious: 'DNFing is a no-go for the championship'

Last weekend, Valtteri Bottas picked up a new engine which meant he started from the back of the grid. The question now floating around is whether Lewis Hamilton will also need an engine change before the end of the season. In 2022, engine development will be frozen. It is therefore important for teams to focus not only on this season, but also on next season. "That's why we're having a few balls in the air, because you need to have the right balance between making sure that you really sort out all the gremlins that you have in the power unit, not only for this year but also for next year's power unit", Toto Wolff says on Motorsport.com.
