Aston Martin concede aero issues will ‘impact' 2022 car

Aston Martin fear the aerodynamic issues they have suffered with this season’s car will also impact on their 2022 challenger. That is despite the new regulations being introduced that mean next year’s Formula 1 cars are to be radically different. Even though this year’s technical rules were only tweaked compared to 2020, Aston Martin have found themselves struggling to get close to the same level of competitiveness – which culminated with Sergio Perez winning the Sakhir Grand Prix when they were named Racing Point.
