Max Verstappen recaptured the lead in the world championship on Sunday afternoon. It wasn't easy though, because Mercedes made a stronger impression during the Turkish Grand Prix. According to Peter Windsor there was more to it. The Dutchman qualified in third place on Saturday, but due to the grid penalty incurred by his rival Lewis Hamilton he was allowed to start from second place. Thanks to an excellent performance by teammate Sergio Pérez Verstappen managed to keep Hamilton behind him and regain the lead.
