Fernando Alonso has apologised for hitting Mick Schumacher during the early stages of the Turkish Grand Prix. The Spaniard had a messy opening start to the race at Istanbul Park to say the least, dropping down to the back of the field after being hit by Pierre Gasly at Turn 1. Soon afterwards, he then hit Schumacher when trying to pull off an overtake, causing the Haas driver to spin and lose a number of positions himself.
