Gasly: ‘There wasn’t space’ with Perez and Alonso

Pierre Gasly felt he had nowhere to go as he picked up a penalty for first-lap contact with Fernando Alonso at the Turkish GP. Gasly from P4 on the grid and Alonso in P5 would find themselves battling into Turn 1 at the start of the Turkish Grand Prix, but their scrap turned physical when the pair made contact, sending Alonso into a spin. Ultimately the stewards judged Gasly to have been at fault, and he was forced to serve a five-second penalty during his one and only pit stop of the race.
