Qualifying duels | Perez beaten for the 19th time by Verstappen

Esteban Ocon has taken the lead in the qualifying duel at Alpine. The Frenchman was half a second faster than his teammate and two-time world champion Fernando Alonso. Ocon took the lead to 11-10 in his favour. Max Verstappen, despite his crash, made it 19-2. Sergio Perez was again unable to compete and will have to start the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix from P5. The Mexican will see Charles Leclerc on the second row of the grid alongside Verstappen. The Ferrari driver had a big crash in FP2, but despite that, he was well ahead of Carlos Sainz.
