Verstappen gets 10-second penalty for Hamilton clash, stays P2

Max Verstappen has been handed a 10-second time penalty for causing a collision with Lewis Hamilton in the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, but remains in second place. Hamilton ran into the rear of Verstappen as the Red Bull driver slowed trying to give up the lead, having retained it by forcing both cars off track at Turn 1. Both drivers were keen to avoid leading into the final corner where a DRS detection point would give the following car an advantage, but after an investigation the stewards decided that Verstappen braking on a straight caused the collision. “At turn 21 the driver of car 33 was given the instruction to give back a position to car 44 and was told by the team to do so...
