Hill reveals what most surprised him about Verstappen during first interview

Article To news overview © RN365/MichaelPotts Damon Hill admits that he still recalls being surprised by Max Verstappen's maturity when he first interviewed the Dutchman ahead of his F1 debut as a teenager. Verstappen was handed his first opportunity in the sport at the age of 17, having been signed to race for the then-called Toro Rosso outfit back in 2015. He went on to be promoted to the main Red Bull team in 2016, and won on his debut for the squad at the Spanish Grand Prix. Now, a few years on, Verstappen has clinched his first Formula 1 World Championship and is still only 24.
