Seidl ‘very happy’ with McLaren 2022 development

McLaren team principal Andreas Seidl is pleased with the progress of the team's 2022 car, but he admitted there is 'absolutely no reference' to relative pace just yet. The majority of teams fully switched their focus to the radically different 2022 challengers early last season, given the seismic regulation changes now taking effect in Formula 1. Drivers have described the different challenges brought by the new machinery, which has a radically different aerodynamic set-up and a basic design built with the intention of allowing closer racing.
