Ferrari ‘very optimistic they will be in the fight'

Sky F1’s Ted Kravitz and Karun Chandhok have added their voices to the growing belief that Ferrari could be in for a big 2022 season. Although the Scuderia have been trying to play down confidence from within, there appears to be quiet hope that they can close the gap to Mercedes and Red Bull. After a 2020 campaign when they finished a dismal sixth in the Constructors’ Championship, rising to a more creditable but still distant third last term, a title challenge may not be realistic despite the new Formula 1 regulations designed to close up the pack.
