Former Formula 1 world champion Damon Hill says that a proven track record and extensive experience in the sport has helped Sergio Perez make a successful transition to his new role at Red Bull Racing. The team made the surprise decision to look outside the Red Bull driver programme for a new team mate to Max Verstappen in 2021, after previous incumbents Alexander Albon, Pierre Gasly and Daniil Kvyat had failed to measure up.
