'Mercedes and FIA say nothing yet about how first meeting went'

Last Friday, an initial conversation took place between Toto Wolff and FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem. The meeting between the two men had everything to do with the controversy that unfolded in the closing stages of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, in which Lewis Hamilton missed out on his eighth world title. Hamilton and Mercedes still believe that the 2021 World Championship was not properly forgiven to Max Verstappen. However, the talks now underway are not about who is the justified champion, but about how the competition remains fair and similar situations can be avoided in the future.
