Mercedes and Red Bull reach off-season agreement
Article To news overview © Mercedes Ben Hodgkinson will be free to join Red Bull Powertrains later this year after Mercedes and Red Bull reached an agreement during the build-up to the 2022 F1 season. In a move that was initially announced back in April of 2021, Hodgkinson is making the switch from Head of Mechanical Engineering at Mercedes HPP to Technical Director at Red Bull's equivalent department. After discussions between the two teams, it has been agreed that Hodgkinson can start work at Red Bull Powertrains from 24 May – just after the Spanish Grand Prix.
