Horner sees importance of American F1 driver: 'You’ve seen it with Max'

Christian Horner thinks it is more important for Formula 1 to have an American driver on the grid than a second American team, which is the wish of Michael Andretti. Since the arrival of Zak Brown, McLaren has increasingly focused on the American market, and so an American F1 driver could be the next step. IndyCar driver Colton Herta has already been linked with Daniel Ricciardo 's seat in 2024, which could make him the first American F1 driver since Alexander Rossi in 2015.
