Russell outclassed Verstappen: 'Defended incredibly well'

George Russell could be satisfied with the third place he obtained after the Spanish Grand Prix. During the race he was ahead of Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez for some time, whom he eventually failed to keep behind him. According to James Vowles, Russell showed a fine piece of work. Whereas Mercedes fell short of Ferrari and Red Bull during the first five races, it was noticeable in Barcelona that the racing stable had made a clear move towards the competition.
