Article To news overview © XPB Ferrari have confirmed that they have changed Carlos Sainz's gearbox as a precaution after his crash in qualifying for the Monaco Grand Prix. With just 30 seconds left on the clock, Sergio Perez hit the barrier at the entrance of the tunnel and, moments later, Sainz spun at the same corner. The F1-75 knocked into Perez's Red Bull, resulting in both cars blocking the track and bringing the session to a premature end. Following the incident, the Scuderia opted to carry out the modifications to Sainz's car as a precautionary measure, which also included changing the parts of the rear end that were damaged.
