Wolff: We need to maximize every opportunity
Mercedes boss Toto Wolff said ahead of the 2022 Azerbaijan Grand Prix that his team needed to maximize every opportunity to score points in order to remain in the fight. Despite their horrible form this year, with a below par car in the form of the W13, Mercedes have been able to capitalize on all the chances that were presented to them so far this season. As a result, their leading driver, George Russell is fourth in the Formula 1 Drivers' Championship, only 41 points down on leader Max Verstappen, as Mercedes sit a firm third in the Constructors' Standings 101 points down on leaders Red Bull, as a long season still ahead awaits.
