The McLaren star will be fighting it out to pip Alonso to the best-of-the-rest crown at Silverstone on Sunday with Red Bull, Ferrari and Mercedes expected to lock out the front six positions. Norris will start the race in sixth, ahead of Alonso in seventh, but Russell in the faster Mercedes will be down in eighth after a difficult qualifying session in the British rain.
