F1 World Championship standings 2022 | Perez and Leclerc closing in on Verstappen

Max Verstappen was only able to register six points in the drivers' championship. Thanks to his first win in Formula 1, Carlos Sainz makes the jump to P4. Meanwhile Charles Leclerc has managed to reduce his deficit, if only by a few points. Article continues under ad Verstappen retains the lead in the championship despite finishing seventh in the race.
