Ferrari have been no strangers to misfortune this season, with their championship aspirations threatening to disappear after a string of defeats to rivals Red Bull and Max Verstappen. Despite the strong car performance, Sainz and teammate Charles Leclerc have suffered from technical failures, strategic errors, grid penalties, and driving mistakes in an up-and-down season for Ferrari.
