Alpine confident: 'We can keep beating Aston Martin, even with Alonso'

Alpine is convinced that it can continue to beat Aston Martin, even with Fernando Alonso in its ranks. This is what team boss Otmar Szafnauer says in conversation with Autosport.com. Article continues under ad Alonso turned down the chance to extend his stay at Alpine by signing a multi-year contract with Aston Martin, securing his future in Formula One until at least the end of 2024. However, the Spaniard's performance seems to be significantly down, with his current team currently fourth in the Constructors' Championship with 99 points.
