Video: Blast from the past as Newey drives McLaren F1 car he designed

Video To news overview One of the most successful F1 car designers of all time, Adrian Newey, got the opportunity to drive one of the McLarens he created. Newey is credited with playing a key role in 10 Constructors' Championship titles and seven Drivers' Championships across three teams: Williams, McLaren and Red Bull. The 63-year-old also holds a racing licence, and has become increasingly familiar with older-generation F1 cars, having taken part in demonstrations for Red Bull.
