Max Verstappen reacts to Red Bull signing new driver

Max Verstappen has heaped praise onto sim-racer-turned-pro-racer Rudy van Buren amid the Dutchman’s appointment as simulator driver at Red Bull. The 30-year-old is a part of Team Redline’s Esports project, which features Verstappen as well as McLaren driver Lando Norris. Redline has contested the Virtual 24 Hours of Le Mans in the last couple of years since its introduction amid the COVID-19 pandemic which started in 2020. Van Buren joined the Porsche Supercup Germany in 2019, and has scored 319.5 points since, including 84 this year in his Huber car.
