Aston Martin told ‘not super talented' Lance Stroll is better than Daniel Ricciardo

Ex-F1 driver Marc Surer has hailed Aston Martin's Lance Stroll as the perfect 'number two', with the Canadian not being 'super talented' but still being 'better than people think'. Stroll has faced a largely disappointing season; however, so has retiring team-mate Sebastian Vettel. Aston Martin have failed to design a car that is capable of consistently finishing in the points, with the Silverstone-based team currently occupying ninth in the Constructors' Championship. The Canadian is currently P18 in the Drivers' Championship on a mere five points, whereas Vettel is in P13 on a much more reasonable 20 points.
