Daniel Ricciardo an option for Williams as Nicholas Latifi fired

Williams have confirmed that Nicholas Latifi will be leaving the team at the end of the 2022 season. The Canadian finished second in the 2019 Formula 2 Championship to Nyck de Vries, and he got a move to the Williams team for the 2020 season alongside George Russell. Neither he nor his British team-mate scored points with the team that campaign, although Russell did score with Mercedes during his stand-in appearance when Sir Lewis Hamilton fell ill with COVID-19. Russell won the qualifying battle 16-0 that year, but the 27-year-old had shown enough to earn him another shot in 2021, and he scored points twice, in Hungary and Belgium.
