Mercedes announced the results of an experiment where they used biofuels to power their transport trucks in the final leg of the Formula 1 season, achieving 89% reduction in CO2 emissions. With F1 pushing towards a more sustainable future evident from the direction the sport has taken with its engines, now known as power units that are made up of turbocharged and downsized 1.6L V6 Internal Combustion Engines, that work along an electric component in a hybrid setup, with limited amount of fuel being mandated.
