Audi begin hiring engineers for F1 project

Audi have begun the process of hiring engineers for their engine department in Germany ahead of their arrival into Formula 1 in 2026. The German company, as well as sister car maker Porsche, were given permission by parent company, Volkswagen, to enter the pinnacle of motorsport in 2026 earlier this year. The motoring giant is set to purchase the Sauber Group, who have been in association with Alfa Romeo since the beginning of 2018. The Italian car brand has a business relationship with the team, founded by Peter Sauber in 1993, since 2018, when they came in as a name partner.
