Singapore will test Mercedes' optimism over W13 performance

Despite their success at Singapore, the Marina Bay circuit has often been a tricky circuit for the team, owing to the high-downforce nature of the track. While Mercedes has won four of the last six races in Singapore, the margins at the finish line have been small. Lewis Hamilton had to fend off Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo in 2018 and 2017 respectively, while Nico Rosberg narrowly took victory from Ricciardo in 2016.
