Ricciardo in other series after all? 'That would be interesting'

Time and again, Daniel Ricciardo has said that he consciously wants to distance himself from Formula 1, after a season full of disappointments at McLaren. That team pushed him aside at the expense of Oscar Piastri, while Ricciardo could not find a new cockpit. So should Max Verstappen or Sergio Perez for some reason be unable to compete at a Grand Prix, Ricciardo will be the obvious choice to act as a replacement.
