F1 agrees on 2026 power unit regulations: no more MGU-H

Following lengthy discussions, the FIA has agreed on the power unit regulations with the six Power Unit Providers set to take part in Formula One between 2026 and 2030. As was written in the stars the MGU-H will be removed from the power units. The system was introduced in 2014 as a means to eliminate turbo lag while enabling power units to recover energy from the exhaust gases. Though powerful, the system proved complicated and costly, leading to long lasting problems for Renault in 2014 and notably also for Honda who endured considerable problems to get on top of their problems.
