Domenicali states F1 will 'never gag anyone' amid FIA political statement ban
Article To news overview © XPBimages Stefano Domenicali has stated that F1 will "never put a gag on anyone" amid the FIA clamping down on drivers making political statements. An updated International Sporting Code issued by the FIA in December placed a ban on the displaying of "political, religious and personal statements" by drivers, unless approved by the governing body. Some drivers have raised concerns about the ruling in recent weeks, with Valtteri Bottas amongst those to question the move while Max Verstappen has labelled the ban as "unnecessary".
