George Russell drops big claim about Red Bull as he rues ‘wrong' Mercedes calls

Following a disappointing start to the season for the Silver Arrows, George Russell has accepted that Mercedes have to “be realistic” about their ability to compete against Red Bull in the 2023 title race. With Red Bull having shown their dominance over the rest of the grid in the opening two races of the season, Russell told Sky Sports F1 that “you’ve got to give credit to what Red Bull have done.” “The gap they have to the rest of the field, I think is bigger than we’ve seen probably since Mercedes in 2014,' he said.
