Rival teams contacted Red Bull sponsors in F1 cost cap saga

Red Bull was found to be in breach of the $145 million after they overspent by $1.8 million in four main areas. The team was subsequently fined $7 million and received further restrictions on its aerodynamic testing allowance, on top of the restrictions for finishing the Constructors' Championship in first in 2022. Horner claims rival teams used "underhand" tactics to court Red Bull's sponsors, suggesting that they could bring the brands into disrepute. “It tainted us.
