Too right. Question: Given the chance, do you think DC would have beaten Mika? I'll say no!

Well he did beat Mika in 1997 and 2001, and beat him several times throughout the 2000 season.

But when it mattered, Hakkinen had the consistency to win the 2 world titles

Hmm, this is a test of my F1 knowledge, but here goes:

1)Portugal 95

2)Melbourne 97

3)Monza 97

4)Imola 98

5)Britain 99

6)Belgium 99

7)Britain 2000

8)Monaco 2000

9)France 2000

10)Austria 2001

11)Brazil 2001

12)Monaco 2002

13)Melbourne 2003

I wont be surprised at all if there's an error or 2 in that list!

Amazing!

Was it Austria 2001 where it was absolutely caning it with rain? If so, it'll be that one!

No it was dry, but it was a great win, he and mclaren outwitted Ferrari, it was great.

Most people see France 2000 as DC's greatest win, as he charged from 3rd or 4th up to 1st, passing Schuey on the way and giving him the finger, it was dominance! And in Monaco 2002 in a poor car he showed sublime skill to beat everyone

What's a polymorph? Is it a brown plasticine parrot made by Tony Hart?

But he was a damn fine artist.

He had a very soft soothing voice too. I think I'll look him up on Wikipedia. Probably passed away by now

My experience so far following motorsports is that when speaking of top drivers they can always beat each other.

So, if they raced the same car in certain circuits you 'd probably have a winner, who may not be the winner the next time.

Also, even in the same team, even though the cars have the same specs, they still are not the same. So if a driver gets luckier than the other and gets a car that for whatever reason is 0,001 faster than the other, that could influence the outcome.

Unless that team is McLaren. Plenty of lewisterics around here swear that McLaren provide both their drivers with identical cars... down to the quantum level...

Keep the Murray the resident bigot happy and make sure you say that _non-British_ teams are unable to produce atomically-alike clone duplicates of their cars, therefore giving an advantage to one of the drivers.
