Then FIA banned the ground effects and took anti-cheat measures witch eliminated the hopes of everyone who didn't have a turbo car. It went down the drain since back then.

The two top championship contenders got taken out of the running. Can you imagine if this season, the top two contenders for the championship got taken out of the running? 1982 was a very tragic year in F1.

Compare, if you will, IRL pit stops to F1....in F1 we see one car on screen, even though both, say, Kimi and Lewis are taking to the pits at the same time...over in IRL we get a multi-split screen...three cars on the left, with times on all, plus a long shot of the entire pit lane to the left...whoa - hold up...a crummy series, strapped for cash, can afford FOUR camera's to F1's single camera?????!!!!!

Some beer bellied hick from Arkansas drives a Ford Pinto into a local gas station to fill the car up and give the windscreen a quick wash with the squeegee to remove the dead bugs and has four of his inbred cousins film the entire scene from four different angles. He puts all four videos on youtube. As you watch the videos, you can hear one of the cousins say: "my cousin elma and i are gettin married."

Scenario two

Some hot styling Italian woman drives a Maserati GranTurismo into a gas station in St Jean Cap Ferrat to fill the car up and give the windscreen a quick wash with the squeegee to show off her sexy legs and a## and has her hot styling french lady friend film the whole scene from one angle. She puts the video on youtube. As you watch the video, you can hear the french girl say to the italian girl: "t'es trop sexy pour moi ma puce, je veux te baiser maintenant sur la voiture."

Which one would you watch over and over again on youtube?

For the last little while, this forum seems to have lost steam. Maybe it's because of the summer holidays. There is nothing interesting being discussed. Not even Adrian Sutil's supposed gayness made any mention here. Not even Lewis Hamilton being Sutil's best friend in the paddock making any mention either. What's going on in this forum? And what of Flavio Briatore getting heckled on a beach in Sardinia? Is everyone on holiday?

I've only watched one race this season, and I haven't missed anything. The pub is far more inviting. Valencia will get an airing chez Gorilla, 'cos it's a new venue, but I'm really waiting for KERS. If only to see how many pit crew BMW can electrocute and how many laps Webber will manage before his car melts.

As long as F1 research, development and improvement are 75% based on aerodynamics the sport will be boring. More and more boring every year. Why not a standardised Aero Kit, Max?

The only interest is brought by the standings but you don't have to watch a 2 hours race to feel that emotion. Just have a look at the newspapers.

This season is still ON because all the top drivers/cars/teams have made a lot of mistakes. Too many for my taste but it helped a lot for the entertainment.

He's moved in the direction of sECU, engines frozen (like fish, and smelly), etc. He should walk back some miles and then stablish a standard aero kit las unique limitation. Max is a clever guy, but not for us.

1 The above scenarios have no bearing whatsoever on my statement...IRL does a far far far better job of the show than F1

2 I don't know Italian, apart from Luigi and mozarella, so I wouldn't even be searching Youtube.it
