teejay 0 Report post Posted September 11, 2008 Buying tickets from the official Silverstone website is best in my book. Thanks, funny that most of the tickets they have there say "not available". Safest bet though. Have a great one.

The Rumble Strip 0 Report post Posted September 11, 2008 Perhaps Silverstone have not released them to F1 yet but I'm pretty sure that you can buy them direct. In fact, I even recall reading an article saying how well sales were going.

Boily 0 Report post Posted September 12, 2008 I bought tickets for both the 06 & 07 Indy races and they were the same price as the other , all three day for 150 bucks tho I will say buying from the track I was able to talk with someone who worked at the track and got better seats then if I had gone through the F1 site but if price is the issue they were both priced the same . Try giving the track a call on the phone you may have better luck that way .

Kati 0 Report post Posted May 25, 2009 Ok, anyone knows a not so expensive hotel around? Remember I can't drive so I must use public ways of transport (also known as bus/train)
The Rumble Strip 0 Report post Posted May 25, 2009 Hotels anywhere near the circuit do bump their prices up so much that I base myself in Warwick. Silverstone do operate a park and ride scheme. Details of which are on the website so it could be that some of the hotels near there are a little bit cheaper.

Grabthaw the Hammerslayer 4 Report post Posted May 26, 2009 where can i know which cities i could more easily go from (in BUSES or TRAINS) to silverstone? so i can have a bigger range to google. ive been googling towcester and brackley only. Not sure what the public transport is like around there, but there is a Premier Travel Inn http://www.premierinn.com/pti/home.do and Travelodge http://www.travelodge.co.uk/ within walking distance of the circuit. Nearest big towns are Milton Keynes, Buckingham, Banbury and Northampton. You could try Tripadvisor www.tripadvisor.com to search for hotels/b&bs as this gives you a listing of places in each town and "warts and all" reviews from guests who have stayed there. This also has links to pricing/booking agencies (such as www.hotels.com). The nearest mainline stations are at Banbury and Northampton. Check out http://www.nationalrail.co.uk Long distance coaches are best through National Express: http://www.nationalexpress.com/home.aspx Local bus info is on Stagecoach: http://www.stagecoachbus.com/

Good package price with accommodation and transport provided: http://www.pageandmoy.com/search_results.a...lidaytypeid=107 I don't know anyone there anymore but let me know how you get on.
