woohoo!

brilliant quali session!

vettel - only 1 run in Q1, Q2 and Q3 and gets pole - nice.

alonso - got to be super light, but great to see him up there - obviously renault's improvements seem to have worked somewhat too.

webber - life in the old dog yet eh - maybe slightly gutted being behind alonso, but still - very nice.

look forward to seeing how the brawn's go when playing catch up.

and last of all - all the people complaining about the diffuser can now eat their pubes ;) - ferrari have got nothing to winge about - if they had a good car they could be where redbull are without a diffuser - fact of the matter is that ferrari are complaining because they shot their load last season and didn't have enough giz left for the 2009 car.

PS - did flav's mind games work????? i fear not - alonso might be able to hold the field up for a while, but he'll be pitting after about 8 laps on the super-softs from the start if you ask me - then he'll be dropping down the field for the rest of the race. on the other hand it'll probably get the best result renault can hope for, so it's a positive for them.

ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww l'homo silente.....

Thats a great grid - go the RBR's...except Mark, coz you're an Aussie, and well, what more is there to say about that??? :P

Thought Hammy might have been further up the grid, but oh well, he has been consistently fast on the prime tyres so maybe he is in for a good race. Would have thought Toyota would have done better.......

ANd where's Nico???

Why is there an ugly car in P2? Something going wrong in the world, I am sure....

Great line up, but it may be altered come tomorrow.
Yep, Glock gets 5 place grid penalty for gearbox change in practice so he'll start 19th!

Seems like Alonso must be quite light (under 0.6 secs between his Q2 and Q3 times), while the rest of the frontrunners appear more or less equal in fuel (around +1 sec to Q3). Kimi, Lewis and Buemi seem to be the heavy bunch, unless they just screwed their laps (didn't see the quali). Nico too to some extent.

Of course, perhaps Alonso just took it easy in Q2 and simply flew in Q3. We'll see in a couple of hours.

Wonder if Kovy was held up like DC was talking about.

In the UK do you get to see what DC is talking about between the qually sessions - we hear the audio, engines etc, but have shots of the garages, cars, crowd etc....and does the post qually conference get farked up too with interviews in the pitlane being broadcast over the press conference?

This is like the third time this has happened....
