Knowing how this year has started do not take out the possibility of a sand storm

It's going to be fun to see how close all the cars are in the dry for real tomorrow. 1.5s/lap separating all the cars is terrific and hopefully it will get even closer over the season, at least for most of the most interesting teams.

I don't understand all the talk of top teams giving up on this year. If they're slower than I think then fair enough but I'm not convinced yet. A good threshold would be getting within a second a lap of the Brawns this weekend overall. Any better than that and the contest is still wide open imho. The new diffusers will give them at least half of that back by mid-season and there will be plenty more changes they can make at the same time to get the rest. RBR and Toyota can take points off Brawn, soon the top teams can expect regular points finishes themselves, and they're not too far behind Button yet.

It's very difficult to read into these Fp sessions... But my money are on Toyota taking pole position this time. They missed it in Sepang but I suppose that, given the considerable amount of informations they have collected on this track during the winter, they can have the upper hand on Red Bull and Brawn for once.
