How can I watch BBC iPlayer when traveling abroad?

You'll need the Vidalia bundle (TOR, privoxy), the FoxyProxy Firefox addon, maybe also the RefControl addon.

Watch BBC iPlayer Abroad If you are abroad and want to watch your favourite UK sports such as racing on Formula 1 and football on Match Of The Day you will need to connect via a UK proxy. This fools BBC iPlayer into thinking you are in the UK. The speeds are just as good as if you were dialing in by broadband at home. To see a demo and learn about how to create a proxy connection, I'd encourage you to visit Watch TV Abroad

I am always travelling and I use banana vpn. I use it on both iPad and Mac Book Pro. Highly reliable and cheap.

Was really hoping for a nice easy solution to this without having to use VPN and hacking in to proxies, and fiber to the nodes and such. I'm capable of doing all these things, but blurgh who can be arsed?
